Our youth activity tonight was visiting the Los Angeles LDS Temple to see the Christmas lights. We joined the Mile Square Park Ward which made the event even more fun after the recent boundary changes in the HB Stake. Friends were reunited and had a blast riding up and back together in the same cars. I was wondering if the activity was worth it due to the long drive and short duration of our stay. We walked the grounds which were beautiful, and we were treated to a homemade dinner in the parking lot which was pretty scrumptious, but it was still a long drive. But I quickly realized that it wasn't so much the event as it was the youth being together and enjoying each other's company. That's what made the outing a success, and that's why we'll keep planning more activities like this one.
