Fun Tidbits This Month

 After admiring these outdoor lights at many weddings, I got some for us. Love them!

 4•15  The Jacaranda trees are in bloom. There is a gorgeous on the corner, and then there's the street that bears the name for a reason. Love these trees!

 4•16  Heather is shaving a full second off her 300m Hurdles almost every week. She loves this distance. She can count the hurdles down, has time to think about her steps, and she has the endurance to kick at the end. Today was a breakthrough day at Edison where she dug deep and came in 2nd passing several runners after the curve. Love this girl's determination!

4•23  Heather has a gift for memorization and has several piano pieces memorized. So she sat and played some expensive pianos at Costco this day. It was fun to see her performing as everyone shopped. Love her talent!

Celestial Beauty

The heavens never cease to amaze me, but every once-in-a-while, the beauty is breathtaking, literally.

This morning's sunrise in Alameda, CA (posted by my sister-in-law)

 This evening's sunset at the end of our street.   Couldn't even capture the lava-like colors (very similar to the sunrise colors above)

One last treat was the moon around 9PM tonight.  So large and beautiful.  The little dots of light you see in the pictures are our street lamps which give some perspective of how large the moon was.

We must have been in the midst of this beauty on a regular basis before we came to earth.  Why else would it speak to my soul the way it does?
