October at College

Clearly some of the most sensational college experience stories thus far have revolved around weather simply because we Californians don't have weather.  Well we do, but it's normally beautiful or at least mild.  Heather has Instagrammed a couple of morning pictures from her apartment which I have included here.  I can't believe it's snowing in October! She surprises me with a cute photo now and then like the one with her soda. And I send her photos of funny things like this sweatshirt. Allison Boyack had a Stranger Things Season 2 premiere party, and Heather was invited. What a fun thing to do for a ST fan! I decided to make Halloween cards to send to her and the HB church girls which was fun. I don't know if the girls liked them, but it was fun to send them. Heather put together a casual costume that she could wear to school during the day from a Marvel comic movie called Donnie Darko.  She was excited about it. Heather and her two friends have really been in to the show "Riverdale," and they decided to dress up as Josie and The Pussy Cats for Halloween night.  They didn't go to any parties, but they did go to Soda Vine and hang out for a bit in their costumes. Heather isn't much for the social gatherings because she doesn't know anyone, and many of the gatherings are very crowded. She's having some claustrophobic symptoms and is a little panicky. But she is still finding some fun here and there. She bought some decorations for Halloween to put with the ones we bought when we first got to Utah. I love that she loves to dress up and to decorate like her momma does.

Trunk-or-Treat

At the LAST minute, Jenna wanted to dress up to help with Trunk-or-Treat at church. She did an amazing job of grouping her face up to be a ghostly woman for the night. Her make up skills continue to astound me. How did she know how to do this? She watched a Youtube video. We thought she had borrowed some of Heather's zombie make up, but nope. Jenna used cotton and glue to achieve the lovely gash on her face.  So talented this girl is! Sarah stopped by from the choir event she was at, and Sister Miller snapped a photo of Jenna and I before we left. I was a Hershey bar, as you can see.  Haha.

Dress Up Day at School

Edison Bell week this week. Jenna had some absences, but she made it for Edison Nerd Day. Cutest nerd ever. Abby was pretty cute too!

Daddy-Daughter Volleyball Tournament

These two competed in Tstreet's Daddy-Daughter tournament. There were prizes for best pair costume, and they took 2nd place! They were on fire and definitely brought the heat! All puns intended! Jenna won a prize basket filled with a cozy sherpa blanket, slippers and a month free at Athletic Republic. Way to go fire couple!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! This year was different for Heather in that she and Kenzie took a job working at the Nobel's annual Halloween Party. They were provided costumes and went for a fitting before the party to get their assigned character. Heather got to be Rey! She loves Rey so, this was perfect. Lucy Corey helped her do some rad Rey hair, and then Heather met MacKenzie at the party to finish getting ready. Heather is such a Star Wars expert that she was able to stay in character throughout the party. She made some decent money and had a blast.

Jenna went for a ghoulish costume and did her own make up.  We were impressed! She and Sarah trick-or-treated for a bit and then did their annual candy trade. Traditions are so much fun! Halloween is so much fun!

Stan Lee Day 2 and Trunk-or-Treat

Day two of Stan Lee's Comic Con for Heather. She and Kenzie went as Quidditch Players. They stayed in Long Beach during the day and then drove back for Trunk-or-Treat. I dressed up the back of our trunk and got a little ghoulish with the make up. Love our Trunk-or-Treat tradition. Jenna and Kelly were here somewhere, but not pictured. Don't Kenzie and Heather look amazing in the back of the truck? Lot's of kids recognized them from Harry Potter and stopped to comment.

Monster Mash 2016

Tonight was the Stake's annual Monster Mash dance. Heather has been hard at work serving on the Stake Youth Committee as the chair for the maze. With the help of her committee, she put together a creepy circus themed maze that was the hit of the night. Jenna attended as a vampire queen, and she had a blast with her friends.

Heather's Halloween Party

Heather invited her best buddies over for a Halloween Party. We love our Halloween party traditions, and she wanted to do it up right. The girls visited, ate food and played games (donuts on a string and pin the eye on the monster). It was a sweet night!

Cosplay and Costumes

It's Halloween time and Heather is gathering costumes for upcoming cosplay and costume events. Her Harry Potter Quidditch outfit is nearly complete, and Renaissance girl is an option as well. She has so much fun dressing up, just like her momma.

Disney Bound

Kenzie and Heather went to Disneyland to day "Disney Bound" which means they dressed up as Disney characters, but without dressing up because Disneyland doesn't let adults dress up. They went as Hades and Meg from Hercules.  So cute.  I did Heather's hair. Gotta love a challenge, but it worked.
