Halloween

 Jenna rocking her soccer game

Kaella, Lizzie, Haley, Madi, Heather and Kenzie
Hannah Dahl, Jenna and Sarah
When Halloween falls on a Saturday, sometimes you have a soccer game. Jenna rocked her game, and then the girls got ready for Trick-or-Treating. Heather's crew joined us at our house and roamed our neighborhood where large size candy bars are known to be handed out. Jenna met her crew over in the Greenbrook neighborhood. Candy is not as plentiful, but Jenna couldn't convince them to come our way. Heather introduced her crew to the candy trade after they were done. I love that they all still love the holiday and want to get together.

ComicKazi-Con

Kenzie and Heather attended Stan Lee's ComicKazi-Con in Los Angeles today. I was thinking we had done enough cons this year, but the girls were dying to do more. Heather dressed as Jeff The Killer from Creepypasta and on-line site for scary stories.  Kenzie dressed as Splatoon Pikachu from Pokemon. Kenzie's brother was able to drive the girls, and they had a good time.

Revenant Asylum and Monster Mash

Tonight was the Stake's annual Monster Mash for the youth. Heather is on the Stake Youth Council and had signed up to do the maze. She had  a couple of SYC youth show up to help, but Heather's non-member friends were awesome and helped Heather so much. The maze was set up on time, and the team ran the maze titled, "Revenant Asylum."  They were a bunch of crazy mental asylum crazies led by Doctor Heather. The youth really enjoyed the maze. Jenna dressed as the Mad Hatter and her friend Maih was the Cheshire Cate. Kelly, for some odd reason, will not dress up for Halloween. I donned my witch costume, and Andrew Boyack was on hand to photograph all the dance attendees. It was a busy, but fun night.

Day In The Temple - Early Morning Session for Youth

Today was our Stake Day in The Temple. This year it was not only open for un on a Monday, but there were two special baptism sessions for the youth before school. They were excused from Seminary to attend the session, and there was one to accommodate those with zero period. I took Heather, Jenna and Sarah, and it was a great experience. There were donuts and milk for the youth as the left.  We got the girls to school on time and although we were a little tired, we were happy to start our morning with such a great event.

YW Halloween Party

Jenna and Sarah suggested we do a Holbrook/Peterson style Halloween party for our combined Young Women night. The girls had fun eating donuts on a string, bobbing for apples, learning to make some fun treats (carmel sauce taught by Sister Koch), and playing musical chairs.  Jenna and Heather were the sole survivors during one game and fought to the death over the chair.  We have a few competitive girls as evidenced by two broken patio chairs (they were brittle from the sun). It was fun to share out fun Halloween party traditions with the girls.
