Sunset League Prelims and The Blairs

Uncle Shane and Aunt Michelle wanted to come to California and see Heather run in a track meet before her track season ended. She qualified for the Sunset League finals while they were here! Yay! They soaked up some sun and visited Grandpa Ron, too. Uncle Shane had to drive back to get back to work, but Aunt Michelle will stay a few more days.

Sports and Burgers

Jenna set at her tournament today and Heather ran at OC Champs (top runners in So Cal). Jenna's gym was air conditioned; Heather's track was not. It was a hot, hot day at about 100+ degrees. We met at Jerry's Wood Fired Dogs in Ladera Ranch near Jenna's tournament for dinner. It did not disappoint.

Spring Break Fun

Spring Break fun at Universal Studios Hollywood! We started with the Jurassic Park ride so we'd have time to dry off. The picture cracked us up because the little girl behind us was so freaked. My make up was also removed by a tidal wave at the end of this drop. Haha. We spent a good amount of time in Hogsmeade and hanging around the castle. Thanks for a super fun day my lovlies!

Easter Eggs and Easter Sunday

Saturday we decorated Easter Eggs. From personal experience, I can say that this may never get old for the girls. When I married Kelly, his mom and I decorated eggs. I love doing this and will probably continue. Favorite eggs are the egg egg, the dragon scales and the marble eggs. The girls are so creative. They looked so beautiful on Easter Sunday. We had an egg hunt and a lovely dinner with Grandpa Ron. Our Savior's Atonement is the single most important event that has ever happened on this earth, and we are so grateful to celebrate this each Easter Sunday. We know where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going, and we know that we can only return Home because of His Atonement.

Last Home Meet for Heather

Last school home meet of Heather's high school track career. She did great, and the team's seniors soaked it in. We've spent 4 years in the track and field program, and it's going to be so strange not to be a part of this program anymore. We're so proud of you Heather!

Junior National Qualifier - Las Vegas

In a twist of fate, Jenna was asked to join the 16-3 team and go to Las Vegas for the Junior National Qualifier. The team scrimmaged her 15-4 team one night at the gym, and her coach put her on the 16 side. The girls really liked Jenna, and Jenna stepped up her game swinging hard at the ball. She replaced their outside hitter who was out of the country. It was a great experience to play with this team and experience Las Vegas. Well, kind of great. It was fun to see a casino and the restaurants and the wedding chapel, but not so fun to breathe in the smoke from cigarettes.  Ew. At the end of the tournament, Jenna was invited to play with the 16's team. We'll need to get coach and owner approval, but it looks good. This will be some good experience for Jenna.

Wonder Con Day 2

Wonder Con Day 2 - Heather dressed in her Renaissance dress and used her basket to carry her things. She ran into Dumbledore and Professor Sprout. So cute. She attended with Brianna and Courtney from track and had a good time.
