Monday Family Fun

Our little beach-side city was experiencing weather in the 50's today. This is pretty much unheard of for Southern CA while the sun is out. The girls got to don scarves and gloves this morning as Grandpa walked them to school.

Later that night...our Family Night activities consisted of some Christmastime scriptures, a couple of stories and some carols before heading off to check out the lights in our famous neighborhood up the road. We whipped up some hot cocoa and popcorn, bundled up and piled in the sleigh (minivan).
The girls had their letters for Santa all ready to go...

We chose to drive by this year instead of walking, but it was still pretty fun. Some houses were modestly decorated while others went over-the-top.

We found the house with Santa's mailbox! The girls hopped out to post their letters...

We jumped out at a couple of fun houses to snap some photos. We had a great time hanging out together and checking out everyone's hard work.

that is one of our favorite Christmas time activites too. And we still need to get over there.

Looks like lots of fun. We haven't done that yet. You can come here and see in the 20 degree weather.
