Kelly purchased a bike over the weekend. He doesn't enjoy riding because most affordable bikes are not made for his height. He scored with one on clearance at a bike store. Our trip to Yosemite next month was a great reason to make sure we all had bikes, and we took his new bike on a test run for Family Night.
The trail by the Santa Ana River wash is a great ride down to the beach. We stopped at KFC for dinner and continued on to the beach.
The trail goes under the major streets, and the girls loved the tunnels. They loved seeing the water as we got closer to the beach. It was high tide, so they got a great view.
For some reason, rock throwing was the activity they chose when we stopped. I think they would have stayed for an hour if we let them.
We rode over the wooden bridge on the way back. Our trip was over 4 miles! Pretty good for the little ones!
