Grandpa's Surgery

Grandpa went in for open-heart surgery on Friday, June 4, 2010 at approximately 8:30 a.m. After about seven hours in surgery (took awhile to get the bleeding under control), the surgeon reported that the surgery went well although Dad needed much more repair work than originally planned. The surgeon repaired the aortic valve, the aortic artery (which contained an aneurism), and bypassed two arteries that were blocked (70% and 100%). We expect a week's recovery in the hospital and then a stay at the Peterson Hotel in Fountain Valley until the end of the month. Thanks to everyone for their prayers and well-wishes.
