We have arrived in Gilbert, AZ safe and sound. We left Fountain Valley at 4:30 a.m. this morning and arrived in Gilbert at 11:30 a.m. That is the earliest we have ever made the trip and although it gave the kids more playtime, I felt like going back to bed most of the day! It's good to be here and to have gotten across the desert before the worst of the heat.
Jenna got a call from her friend, Sarah, today. Sarah was on the road in Utah and told her mom that she wanted to call Jenna. So they chatted, if you call 7-year-old silly nonsense chatting that is.
Kasey and Cole made Heather a card and got her some fun goodies for her birthday.
Joanna made her a cake with 10 candles, and we all sang happy birthday.
Heather blew out the candles...one at a time. Silly. So glad to be here! Thanks to Jo for the scrumptious cake!
