The Party...

Friday afternoon was Heather's birthday party.  The theme was Wipeout.  She loves that show and wanted to have obstacle type water events at her party.  Luckily, Heather's mother is 'theme girl', so we put together a fun party.  After the events were over, the kids had bbq hot dogs and watched an episode of Wipeout that we had on dvr.  From outside it sounded like a college fraternity party with all the screaming and laughing.  I think the party was a success.  *Cake pictures will appear in another post.*

Events not pictured included an over-under wet sponge relay, a single-person sack run through the slip and slide, and a crazy water-balloon fight.

Water Slide--must slide down and land exactly within small pool.

Rope Swing--must swing across pool without falling in while sopping wet sponges are lobbed at you by other contestants.

Water Walk--must walk across water stepping only on inflated rafts.  Proved impossible, but since getting wet was the whole point, it totally worked!

Sack Race--just a plain old sack race...well, with water being hosed in your face!

Water Balloon Toss--pretty basic, but fun.
